Russia’s AvtoVAZ to restart of exports to Syria, Lebanon
SAMARA, Feb 24 (PRIME) -- Russia’s largest carmaker AvtoVAZ will restart exports to Syria and Lebanon, a spokesperson told PRIME Wednesday.
Earlier on Wednesday, daily Izvestia reported quoting a source close to the company that AvtoVAZ plans to relaunch exports of Lada cars to Syria, Lebanon, and Israel.
“AvtoVAZ actually plans to launch exports of cars to Syria and Lebanon. Importers of Nissan company – our partners – will help us,” the spokesperson said, adding that the date and the amount of exports are still unclear.
AvtoVAZ plans to restart supplies to the Syrian market as soon as the situation in the country stabilizes, the spokesperson added.
